The history of DDT
Disc Devils Twente was founded by students of the University of Twente in 1990. The most popular frisbee sport is Ultimate Frisbee, which is a team sport. Other frisbee sports such as Disc golf are also played. The size of the club has fluctuated between 20 and 40 people since 1990, with one to four teams participating in the Dutch league. The level of the players varies from recreational to top level. Several DDT players have played in European and World championships, e.g. the World Championship Ultimate Frisbee in Hawaii held in 2002. The future of DDTUntil June 2009 the club was mostly focused on students. From June 2009 on the club will continue as a normal sports club; no longer specifically for students but for all people. |
